The health benefits of selenium is that Selenium helps fight diseases by neutralizing harmful unstable molecules called free radicals, which leave the body vulnerable to inflammation, diseases and cancer. Research findings have shown that the body needs selenium to produce body compounds such as enzymes and catalysts involved in antioxidant protection against oxidative stress and thyroid hormone metabolism.
